Default Majordomo

Does anyone know how majordomo interacts with Exim, as it doesn't start as a
service, and I cannot see it called from any script.

Any help would be great.

....but other maling list managers don't run as "special service",
either.
I suppose, that the mails will be passed to majordomo by using pipes
in /etc/aliases, for example with the following line:
maillist: "|/usr/local/bin/majordomo --option1 --option2 ..."

This way, other list managers (mailman, ecartis...) are provided with
the mails they have to handle.

hth,
Christian
