Default Apache and PHP compatability question

Hi,

Does anyone know if Apache 2.2 is compatible with PHP 5.2.1 on a Solaris
10 (Sparc) system. Apache compiles, installs and runs properly but I
have not been able to PHP to configure without errors.

Sunfreeware includes the statement "PHP is used with apache 2.0.59, not
apache 2.2" for both php 5.2.1 and php 4.4.5. However no additional
information is provided and several posts seem to indicate the two
versions can operate together on other systems.

TIA

JJ
