I won't: There are specific test groups for this purpose.

I am unsure what annoys me more. People whom test posts in non testing
newgroups with a title of 'Test...ignore' or people who actually do not
ignore them and make a reply post.

I am not getting at anyone here - just voicing an annoyance.

Thanks

Well, then i'll be more specific... my isp seems to be having problems
with certain groups. I'm getting hundreds of old messages in some groups and
no messages in others. This test post and your reply are the only messages
i've received in this newsgroup since around midnight, Dec 13th. But thank
you for the info anyway.

Ignore the ignorant fuckers!

I'm sick of all this shite and remember full well, the time when the
Usenet Gods finally agreed that the fact that a test post gets to
alt.test does not mean that it propogates to alt.comp.land.php and it
was felt that so long as the subject header stated the fact that it was
a test post and to please ignore should be sufficient. Then again,
there are people who have to touch something that has a 'wet paint' sign
on it and something that would have nothing to do with their daily lives
but they have to touch it anyway!

The Usenet Guidelines were updated at the point when DejaNews took to
archiving everything, which, if you know recent history, Google dropped
the ball and lost a lot of the archives.

Another of the updated guidelines pointed out that people should use the
"'was' <original subject> 'now'<new meandering topic>" subject line to
let people know where the thread is heading, to save others wasting time
reading something that started well but ended up as a flame war.

Uh yeah, thanks you for that... I posted a test message in php.test and
it still has not shown up. Message sent at 7:43pm (-5 GMT). As a matter of
fact, this thread is the only one i'm receiving right now (in this ng - is
it that dead or do I have a problem?). To all who have responded, thank you.
Things seem to be quite flakey for some reason. I'll be on the phone with rr
asap in the morning.

I usually don't care about test messages and people that drop in and
sending replys to those test messages to discuss if this is good or bad.

But I don't find it amusing if people start using bad language.

@all, just ignore those test messages. If no one replys we have one test
message, if people think they need to tell the original tester to go
test somewehere else we have 10 useless replys or more
