windows file attributes

I'm looking for a built in function to access and manipulate the windows
file attributes, equivalent to the ATTRIB command in DOS.

Well, actually, I have found equivalent functions among PHP's file
system function for all but the "Archive" attribute. Is there a match
in PHP for that?

Any help appreciated.
