Hello all,
this must be something that a lot of people have been looking for, and probably found solutions for, but i can't seem to find anything about it: How can I make some kind of search engine, written in PHP that searches through .html files? I am pretty advacned with PHP, MySQL, Microsoft Indexing server, etc etc. but I am looking for something really basic, to use as a cheap online search engine for people build simple .html based websites. Any idea?? |

Mnogo does it brilliantly for nothing. You can build your own front-end in PHP AIR there are even PHP bindings for it. With a bit of help it can be convinced to index MS-Word and Excel documents too.
