php compiler

Hello,

Sorry I dont know a great deal about programming or much about the language
PHP, but I am after a 'PHP compiler' if there exists such a thing. Anyone
know where I may obtain one?

You probably mean a PHP accelerator like
http://turck-mmcache.sourceforge.net/, (PHP already contains a compiler),
but where do you need it for if you don't know a great deal about
programming, thus unable to know if there are benefits for you? Learn the
language first.
