Default PHP issuing script commands

Hello,

Is there a small example of a PHP to script interface?

I want to write a small page to maintain a file on my computer, but then I
need to have it restart sendmail.

Does anyone have a small example of how I can do this?

I essentially want to write a set of pages to maintain .forwards , email
passwords and the like. So we can allow our users to do autoresponders,
forwarding and all of that good happy jazz.

Please if you can, reply by email as well? I don't always get responses to
my queries, as my ISP is a dolt. SBCGlobal.net. They kinda suck.

My address is irishboy at imadethis dot com ....

TIA
