A list of bad, vulgar, obscene etc words is doomed to failure because
many words have several meanings.You have to know the context in which
they are used. I will give a few examples from the list of bad words
given:

anal - a perfectly correct word when used in a medical context;
ass - the name of an animal sometimes called donkey. Used in the
Bible;
bitch - a female canine, especially a female dog;
bloody - If you have blood on you, you are bloody. Other meanings in
UK;
breasts - have you never eaten chicken breasts?;
chink - a small crack or fissure. To stop up;
cock - an adult male bird. Cock is the proper technical name for a
male parrot.;
cox - There are a lot of people with cox as their last name;
dick - There are a lot of people who use this first or nickname i.e.
Dick Nixon;
faggot - a bundle of sticks or twigs used as fuel;
fanny - the first name of some women;
gaylord - the last name of some people;
nazi - a member of Hitler's political party. Needed for history;
pawn - many meanings including a chess piece;
smut - many meanings including something such as soot that smudges;
snatch - to seize or take away suddenly;

Any filtering based on single words is doomed to failure and runs the
danger of making one a laughing stock. Filtering that takes context
into consideration is very difficult, found mostly in pay programs,
and still is far from perfect.
