I am assuming that you are trying to forward the link to a new
location. If this is what you are trying to do, somewhere in internet
land you need to let the "domain name service" where you are. Simply
put, you could generate a alias to point to your web server if you
have the rights to the root dns account.
As far as deploying the site, use the virtual configuration for the
site. This will allow you to put any number of machines (websites) on
one physical machine. The apache documents do a great job of
explaining this in detail.
