I don't have a problem with the USA. I have a problem with the present
government of the USA. As Mark Twain put it: I stand with my country,
always. I stand with my government when they deserve it.

Is that why we are number 39 in "quality of life" (health,
longevity, education, etc.) indexes, behind even Cuba?

Many people who object to US interventionism do so because they see
their country's wealth and resources being drained to benefit a few rich
people in the West. I recommend Naomi Klein's recent book "Shock
Doctrine" which explores this in some detail.
