Dear all,
After I have gathered many experts' view , I still encounter the message
when I hit icon of Apache at the 'Program Menu' to star up. The
following message started to pop up in the DOS window:- " make-"OS
10048. make socke: could not bind to address 0.0.0.80 no listening
sockets available, shtted down, unable to open logs.'
I have checked the IIS is 'unchecked'. I then input at C:>, C:>netstat
-ano. The difference in the outcome is when the server starts, there is
an additional line appears while the other output lines are the same
when the server is stopped. Let me only show you the additional lines:-
TCP 0.0.0.80 0.0.0.0 Listening 592
(Protocol) (Local Adress) (Foreign address) (State) PID)
The wording inside the blankets represent their meaning.
I am not sure if there exists any problem at this stage because when I
input
http://127.0.0.1 or htttp://localhost at IE explorer, it will show
a screen with message saying you "when you see this page, that means you
have successfully installed APACHE SERVER ... Powered by Apache"
It sound like confusing. Me Too. But That is what I am experienceing.
Any expert can give me where I am standig. Is there any problem?
Anything i need to do before I am able to use Apache server.
If you do not understand my question, please let me know which part you
do not understand, thus, I would try to represent it again as much as I
can.
