I just ditched my befsr11 (very similar to the befsr41), and replaced it
with a WRT54G.
My befsr11 was nothing but trouble. I have a webpage describing what a
mess it was at
http://dcs.nac.uci.edu/~strombrg/linksys.html.
I'm glad I gave Linksys another chance though, because the WRT54G runs a
linux 2.4 kernel, and there are many alternative distributions available
for it.
If you don't want the wireless feature, you can always just turn it off,
and there you've got a 4 port DSL/Cable router running linux.
